Archery range opens

“This is really cool,” 10-year-old Memphis Beatty exclaimed as he peered out from the 110-foot covered shooting line at the new Fallsville Archery Range that was dedicated Friday.Located at the ODNR Division of Wildlife headquarters on Careytown Road just a few miles outside of Hillsboro, the range is the first of 10 Shooting Range Improvement Projects the state plans to open or renovate over the next few years.

 

Fairfield announces new baseball coach

“I’m just a big kid at heart with love and a passion for the game of baseball.”Those were the words from the new Head Varsity baseball coach at Fairfield High School, Tony Haley, as he spoke at a press conference at Fairfield on Wednesday night.Fairfield Local Schools Director of Athletics, Denise Vilvens introduced Tony Haley of Wilmington. The hiring was made official Monday evening by the Fairfield Local Board of Education.
