Poultry team headed to national event

Highland County 4-H has announced that a 4-H poultry judging team will represent Ohio at the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference competition held during the North American International Livestock Exhibition in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 16-17. According to Dr. Lucinda Miller, state 4-H specialist in livestock, companion and small animals, “This is a great honor and I am certain this team of outstanding youth will represent Ohio 4-H with enthusiasm and pride.” The team consists of Lucas Brown, a member of the Concord Junior Farmers 4-H Club; Noah Freehling and Brittany Rhoads, members of the Highland County Poultry Pigs and Lambs 4-H Club; and Evan Edingfield, a member of the Belfast Junior Farmers 4-H Club. Along with being the team’s coach, Diane Waits is a 4-H adviser for Highland County Poultry Pigs and Lambs 4-H Club and Highland County Shooting Sports 4-H Club.
