The Southern State Singers, under the direction of John M. Glaze, will present their 17th annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m.

This will be the second program of the Music at St. Mary’s Concert Series at the Episcopal Church, corner of North High and North streets in Hillsboro.

The Singers group is made up of community members as well as college students who will introduce the pieces being performed and provide information on the composers. Melanie MacDowell is accompanist for the group, along with Jenny Harner on flute, Debbie Howard on clarinet and John Glaze on the organ. They will offer selections from a variety of styles and periods of music to welcome in the Christmas season.

Admission is free, although donations are appreciated to help support the full Music at St. Mary’s Concert Series planned through next May.

Refreshments will be served after the concert.
