The Southern State Singers will present their 17th annual spring concert on at 3 p.m. April 17 as the final program in the 2015-16 Music At St. Mary’s Concert Series.

This group, comprised of community members from the Southern State Community College area, is directed by John M. Glaze. Accompanist for the group is Melanie MacDowell. Music being presented will be from primarily 20th century works and range from contemporary pieces to humorous numbers such as “Lydia, The Tattooed Lady” to selections from “Annie.” Pieces very familiar and some not so familiar are all part of the program.

The public is cordially invited to the concert which will be presented in the beautiful acoustics of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at 234 N. High St. in Hillsboro. There is no charge for the event; however, donations, which go to support the entire concert series, are accepted following the concert. In addition, there will be a reception following the concert.
