The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

April 6

ACCIDENT

On Wednesday, April 6, the police department responded to an accident call in the 1200 block of North High Street. Denise Rowe, 48, of Hillsboro, was stopped in northbound traffic at Fenner Avenue in her 2006 Toyota. Ronald Swonger, 93, of Hillsboro, was also stopped in traffic when his foot slipped form the brake causing his 2005 Cadillac to roll forward into Rowe’s vehicle. Both vehicles received minor damage. No injuries were reported. Swonger was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

April 7

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Albert Cox Jr., 43, of Bainbridge, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear.

Dusty Oats, 30, of Hillsboro, was arrested for criminal trespassing, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, and theft.

April 8

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Morganne Garner, 20, of Hillsboro, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct.

Sheena Rife, 28, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear on a bench warrant.

Joseph Hart, 37, of Hillsboro, was arrested for domestic violence.

Kenneth Howell, 57, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

April 9

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

David Burlile Jr., 40, of Washington C.H., was arrested on three outstanding warrants.

Steven Reno, 56, of Hillsboro, was cited for failure to yield.

Terry Jackson, 38, of Hillsboro, was cited for pirating a motor vehicle while under the influence (OMVI).

ACCIDENT

On Saturday, April 9, the police department responded to a call of an accident in the 700 block of North High Street. Steven Reno, 56, of Hillsboro, was attempting to back from a driveway and failed to see Robert Edenfield, 63, of New Vienna, who was northbound on North High Street and struck Edenfield’s front passenger side door, causing moderate damage to both vehicles. A passenger from each vehicle claimed injury, but refused transport opting to seek medical attention on their own. Reno was cited for failure to yield.

April 10

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Alisa Kirschner, 32, of Hillsboro, was arrested for theft.

Bethany Rutherford, 30, of Washington, C.H., was arrested for theft and on an outstanding warrant for grand theft.
