Can you believe that it’s time for summer reading to begin? I can’t, but it is indeed time.

We have such a great theme this year – “Get in the Game … Read.” Our decor and camp and storyhour themes will be sports. You can begin signing up on May 25 and anytime after that through June and July. Summer reading is for all ages 2-102. We have lots of great books to be read and great prizes to be won. We are partnering with the Adena Healthy Kids program and they will be providing prizes for activities done and the chance for three lucky kids/teens to win a new bike. It will be an exciting summer with more fun and more prizes,

Summer Library Camp for ages 6 to grade 4 will be held on June 22 and 29 and July 6, 13 and 20 from 10:30 to noon. Summertime preschool storytime will be held on Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

Here are some dates to remember:

• May 30 – The library will be closed for Memorial Day.

• July 7 – 1:30 p.m. – POOF DADDY comedy magic show will be at the library. There will be magic, puppets, music, jokes, and lots of fun for all ages.

• July 20 – 5-7 p.m. – Family Fit Cooking Demo. This is provided by Adena Healthy Kids and will be a time to learn and to taste. You need to preregister for this so enough can be planned. This is a family event.

Preschool Storytime is Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Activities include stories, crafts and lots of fun. Upcoming themes include: Alligators, Hippos, Dads and Mysteries.

The Greenfield Public Library is located at 1125 Jefferson St., Greenfield.
