Elmore gets Eastern Star Scholarship

The Hillsboro Chapter 441 Order of Eastern Star’s annual scholarship was awarded to Brandon Elmore, a 2016 graduate from Hillsboro High School.

Elmore has been on the honor roll all four years of high school and has maintained a 3.5 GPA while working a full-time job as shift manager at Subway. He was a member of the HHS National Honor Society and has been class president since 2013. He was a dedicated FFA member and was in 4-H for 10 years.

Elmore has been accepted at the University of Cincinnati where he will pursue a degree in political science and communications. From there he plans on applying to law school and pursue a juris doctor degree. He has been researching and studying the First Amendment law and the engagement of religious groups in the politics of law.

Brandon is the son of Melissa Elmore and the grandson of Judy Franklin, who are both Hillsboro Chapter 441 OES members.
