This is Bruno, a 2-year-old Mastiff mix that the Highland County Humane Society Pet of the Week. He is heartworm positive and although the society looked for a rescue, nobody wanted to take him at this time so it have decided to treat him. The treatment will cost about $1,500 and he will be undergoing treatment for approximately three months. The Humane Society board president and his wife have agreed to help with the treatment costs and are fostering Bruno during the treatment.
