Concord Junior Farmers meet

0

The Concord Junior Farmers met on April 22 at Whiteoak High School.

The club first sang Happy Birthday to its great adviser, Debbie Heaton. Charlie Hauke, Addie Hauke and Miley Walker held the flags during the pledges. Members were reminded of quality assurance dates and that you cannot show at the fair without completing QA. The club had pizza after the meeting. Demonstrations at the meeting were done by Zane Hawk, Zach Hawk, Zaden Hawk, Ryan Feener and Marseal Setty.

The club met on April 30 at the Mowrystown park to plant flowers and clean up the park.

On May 13 the club had a great turnout to place flags on veterans’ stones at the Mowrystown and Taylorsville cemeteries. Members were educated on the importance of the actions of all our veterans. The club also had fun meeting at the Memorial Day parade in Mowrystown and marching in the parade.

The Concord Junior Farmers will meet on June 17 for their next meeting. Members are reminded to get demonstrations ready if they haven’t already completed them.
