Local resident Gretchen Huffman has published a book of poetry entitled, “On the Inside, Looking Out,” which is available at the Hillsboro library.

Huffman’s poetry “expresses her thoughts (inside) which she is hoping to send (out) to her readers,” according to the publisher, Xlibris.

The poems in the new book “were written not only for women but for all people who have experienced love, pain, longing, joy, loneliness, embarrassment and all the other emotions known to mankind,” according to a jacket description.

“I wish to thank everyone who influenced me and therefore, provided me with the necessary incentive to rhyme,” said Huffman.

Huffman and her husband, Bill, reside in Hillsboro, where she is active in several organizations. The book can be ordered in E-book form or in paperback from www.xlibris.com.
