Summer Reading Adventure is coming to a close. It’s been an exciting summer with Library Camp and Preschool Storytimes. We also had a Poof Daddy Magic Show and a Family Fit Meal Planning event provided by Adena Healthy Kids.

We had 315 participate in Summer Reading, an average of 44 at camp and 28 for storytimes.

Drawings for adult and teen prizes and for three new bicycles, compliments of Adena Healthy Kids, will be held on Aug 1. Children can bring in their logs and receive their coupons from Aug. 1-5.

We want to thank all the sponsors of this year’s Summer Reading: New Sabina Industries, Adena Healthy Kids, McDonald’s, Kroger, Star Cinema, The Willow, Domino’s, Jett’s Professional Embroidery, Burger King, Greenfield Chiropractic, COSI, The Beach Waterpark, Save-A-Lot, Walgreens, Robbin’s Village Florist, Advance Auto Parts, Wendy’s, Kathy Decker, Newport Aquarium, Bob Evans, Buck’s Tire Service, Pizza Hut, Dakota’s, Big City Pizza, Community Market, Gold Star Chili, Subway, “Tecumseh,” 3 Spoons Diner, The Glitz, Trendsetters, Roller Haven, McClain season passes and the Cincinnati Reds.

Following are some upcoming dates to remember:

• DT&I Model Railroad Meet – Aug. 6 – Displays, speakers, enthusiasts from several states. Contact the library for more information.

• Batman is Coming – Aug. 11 – Batman and his Batmobile will be here from noon to 1 p.m. Come join us for lots of fun.

• Preschool Storytime – Tuesdays – 11 a,m. Activities include stories, crafts and lots of fun.
