SR 73 chip-seal project starts Thursday

A preventive maintenance project will get under way on SR 73 in Highland County, as contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9 start construction later this week.

Crews from Miller-Mason Paving will be chip-sealing SR 73 between Prospect Road and the Adams County line. Construction is scheduled to begin Thursday, Aug. 4, and while crews are at work traffic will be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers.

Motorists may encounter temporary periods of delay in the construction zone, and they are reminded to reduce their speed and of the need for additional caution when traveling through these and other work zones.

The Miller-Mason Paving Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $318,325 to complete the project, and all work is anticipated to be completed by late August.
