Bell’s Run road will be closed

A weeklong culvert replacement project has been scheduled next week at the junction of SR 321 and Bell’s Run Road, requiring a closure of the township road.

On Monday, Aug. 15, Bell’s Run Road, which is off SR 321 approximately one mile west of Mowrystown, will be closed for crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility to replace a culvert situated at the road’s junction with SR 321.

The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. Monday and while Bell’s Run Road is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of Mowrystown-Sardinia Road. Although SR 321 will remain open during the project, traffic may be reduced to one lane and maintained by flaggers intermittently when crews are at work.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the work day, or 5 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 19; however, completion of all work will be contingent upon the weather.
