Hillsboro FFA enjoys Camp Muskingum

Five members of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter traveled to Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum recently for the Ohio Leadership Camp. During the camp members participated in sessions of a 212/360 leadership program where they learned about influence. Nationwide Insurance and Farm Bureau are sponsors of OLC each year. While at OLC the five members were able to go swimming, kayaking, motor boating, canoeing, to the shot gun range, shoot archery, along with other fun activities. Campers were able to bond with the state officers while participating in activities to get to know them better. This year the camp had two Hillsboro state officers – Meredith Oglesby and Lauren Grover. At camp there are members from all over Ohio. Camp is a highlight of summer for FFA members. Junior Brittany Rhoads said, “This is my third year going to camp and it will always be one of my favorite memories of FFA. Camp Muskingum is the happiest place on earth.” Pictured, from left, are Meredith Oglesby, Bryanna Buerkle and Lauren Grover.
