The Hillsboro FFA recently held its annual Greenhand Night to recognize all the first-year members of the FFA chapter and award them their Greenhand degree. Members receive a pin which can be worn on their FFA jacket. This degree is the first of four different degrees offered by the FFA. The other degrees that can be awarded are Chapter, State and American degrees. There were 63 new members that were awarded this degree. The guest speaker for the night was Aaron Klohn, the state FFA reporter. He spoke to the members about starting to peruse their dreams. The FFA also provided food for the banquet which included a hog that was donated by United Producers. Pictured are the Hillsboro FFA Greenhand members, chapter officers, and Klohn.
