Tractor auction benefits 4-H, FFA

The South Central Power Company purchased this pedal tractor for $900 Friday during the Highland County Chamber of Commerce Ag Is Everyone’s Business event. South Central then donated the tractor back to the Highland County Chamber of Commerce and it sold again for $800 to Tom Pitzer Trucking. Highland County Farm Bureau President Nathan Brown purchased this pedal tractor for $650 Friday during the Highland County Chamber of Commerce Ag Is Everyone’s Business event. The proceeds will benefit 4-H in Highland County. It was the third tractor Brown has purchased in the event’s four years. “I’ve got three kids so I need three tractors,” Brown said.
