Jack and Kay Fender were awarded the 2014 Patriot Award at the Highland County Fair. The Fenders were chosen due to their outstanding support of the junior fair activities over the past 25 plus years. The award was presented by the 2014 Highland County Fair Board Members. On Wednesday, Sept. 24, five Hillsboro FFA officers traveled to Columbus for the Ohio Legislative Leadership Conference.The Ohio FFA hosted the conference which is meant to help members with understanding their role in supporting agriculture related programs.During the conference, they learned how to be a promoter for agriculture so others may see where their food comes from.
