A card shower is being requested for Arthur “Art” W. Palmer Jr. and Martha (Abbott) Palmer, who will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20.

Art and Martha were married on Aug. 20, 1955 at the Chevy Chase Prebyterian Church in the Washington, D.C. area.

Art is a retired real estate broker and choral director, and Martha is a retired registered nurse. In 2005, they moved from Warrenton, Va. to Hillsboro, Ohio, where they attend the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church and are active at the local YMCA.

They have four children including two daughters, Virginia (Palmer) and Klaus Fueschsel and Pam (Palmer)and David Pinney; and two sons, Tom and Lisa Palmer and Ira and Cindy Palmer, and 12 grandchildren.
