Rachel Hale, the 2013 “American Idol” runner-up who shot a video Friday at Richards Memorial Field in Hillsboro for her upcoming release of the Christmas video “Can You Hear the Sound,” will host a free worship concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. It will be an acoustic set featuring original songs written by Hale, plus popular worship songs. “Rachel wanted to put on a show the whole community could attend as a thank you for all the love and support she has received here in Hillsboro,” said 2008 Hillsboro High School graduate Shelby Wertsbaugh, who produced Hale’s Christmas video.
