Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility have completed a culvert replacement project on U.S. Route 62, reopening the route to traffic one week ahead of schedule.

The route was closed Monday, June 22, approximately one-half mile north of New Market in order for crews to replace a pair of deteriorated culverts at the 9.16-mile marker and Miller Road, between New Market Road and Warlamount Road.

Although the route was scheduled to be closed for up to 11 days, the maintenance crews were able to expedite the project and reopen the route to traffic at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
