Both the hall of fame inductees and scholar-athlete nominees will be honored at a dinner banquet scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 23 at the Ponderosa Banquet Center in Hillsboro. The banquet is open to the public.

Nominees for The Times-Gazette Athletic Hall of Fame can be athletes, coaches, or anyone who has had an influence on athletics in Highland County. Nominations, which should include as much detailed information about the nominee as possible, can be dropped off or mailed to The Times-Gazette, 108 Gov. Trimble Place, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133. They can also be submitted online to [email protected].

The nominations should include the student-athletes’ name, school, cumulative grade point average, number of letters won during their high school years and senior year, accomplishments both academic and athletic, and community service achievements.

Nominations will be sent to all athletic directors at Highland County’s five public high schools next week.

Those nominations can be dropped off at the respective school’s athletic director’s office or mailed or dropped off to: The Times-Gazette, ℅ Jeff Gilliland, 108 Gov. Trimble Place, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
