Greenfield Farmer’s Market opens May 19

The 2016 season of the Greenfield Farmer’s Market is slated to open on Thursday, May 19 and will run into October. The market will be held from 4–7 p.m. every Thursday in the medical building parking lot located at 1355 Jefferson St. in Greenfield.

Vendors will also be set up at the Grain and Hay building located at 23 Jefferson St. in Greenfield the first Saturday of each month from 2-4 p.m., and during various events hosted by the Greenfield Historical Society throughout the market season.

The market will welcome back past vendors including: Buckskin Harvest with flowers, produce and baked breads. 9N Farms will have hanging flower baskets and various produce items. Heather Walker will have her homemade baked goodies and crafts. Walker will also be joined by her sister-in-law, Tia, with her handmade crafts, artisan breads and herbs. Rita Everhart and her son, Jason Shuster, will have herbs, hand-painted crafts and produce. Dave Brust will join the market once his sweet corn is ready. Freshour Farms will have jams, raw honey and creamed honey, and will also be adding frozen beef and homemade beeswax soaps. New to the market this year, the Eicher Family will be selling homemade breads, cookies, pies and an assortment of pastries.
