The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

INCIDENTS

On Oct. 8 at 7:56 p.m., the Hillsboro Police Department received several phone calls of a subject trapped inside a building and needing help getting out. After officers attempted several times to locate the subject, it was found that the subject was making false statements in order to have police respond for assistance. Terry Jackson Sr. 58, Hillsboro, was arrested for falsification and transported to the Highland County Jail.

On Oct. 10 at 1:41 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on South East Street. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The driver refused to exit his vehicle after being instructed to by officers. Joshua Rogers, 27, Hillsboro, was placed under arrest for OVI and obstructing official business. He was transported to the Highland County Jail.
