During the 2015 Highland County Fair, FFA and 4-H groups were able to present demonstrations in front of judges that could either be presented about ag-related topics or in-home topics. These organizations could present individually or in groups of two. One of the Hillsboro FFA duos that presented were awarded first place in the in-home demonstration category. Erin Clark and Bryanna Buerkle did a demonstration on how to make gluten free and dairy free chocolate chip cupcakes with almond icing. Senior second place participants Samantha Fender and Mikala Waller did an in-home demonstration on table setting. Other Hillsboro FFA participants included the duo of Morgan Holmes and Ellie Elmore who placed second in the ag-related demonstration. Diaman Dowd and Hale Unger placed second for their in-home demonstration together. Kennadi Claycomb and Dawson Carter placed third as a team for their ag-related demonstration.
