Southern State Community College is seeking comments from the public about the college in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.
Southern State will host a visit Nov. 2-3, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, which has accredited the college since 1981. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.
The public is invited to submit comments regarding the college by mailing them to: Public Comment on Southern State Community College, The Higher Learning Commission, 230 S. LaSalle St., Suite 7-500, Chicago, Ill. 60604-1411; or by visiting the commission’s website at www.ncahlc.org.
Comments must be in writing and address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. All comments must be received by Oct. 2, 2015.
