Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Oct. 27

ACCIDENT

At 5:23 p.m. the police department responded to a crash at the intersection of West Pleasant Street and South West streets. Upon officer arrival it was found that Briana Norton, 22, of Hillsboro, operating a 2006 Ford sedan and traveling westbound on West Pleasant Street, proceeded through the intersection in her vehicle at the same time as Rhonda Neeley, 43, of Hillsboro, operating a 2010 Ford sedan and traveling southbound on South West Street. This caused an angular collision. No injuries were reported at the time of crash.

Oct. 30

ACCIDENT

At 6:25 p.m. the police department responded to the 1200 block of North High Street in the southbound lane. Upon officer arrival it was found that Deborah Walker, 18, of Hillsboro, operating 1997 Toyota sedan, failed to yield when entering the roadway from a business and her vehicle struck the side of a 2000 Chevrolet van operated by Mack Roberts, 73, of Leesburg. Walker was cited for failure to yield when entering the roadway.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Timothy Merrill, 46, of Ripley, was arrested on a bench warrant.

Rachel Case, 25, of Hillsboro, was arrested for obstructing official business.
