Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Feb. 5

INCIDENT

At 7:58 a.m., the police department responded to the 200 block of East South Street for a report of a windshield being shattered. Upon arrival, it was found that the windshield was shattered by a concrete block. No entry was made to the vehicle. A report was taken.

Feb. 6

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

John F. Wright, 38, of Hillsboro, was arrested for OVI and cited for driving under suspension.

Kristine E. Kinnison, 47, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Jaime L. Birkhimer, 37, of Portsmouth, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and for receiving stolen property.

Brittany Hornschemeier, 30 , of Greenfield, was arrested for theft and two failure to appear warrants.

Feb. 7

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Tyler Burnette, 23, of New Vienna, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

ACCIDENT

The police department responded to a one-car crash near 7689 SR 73. A 17-year-old male juvenile advised that he was traveling south on North West Street when the steering locked up on his 2001 Chevrolet, causing the vehicle to veer to the right and travel into the culvert. Minimal damage was reported. No one was injured.

Feb. 9

INCIDENTS

At 9:37 a.m., the police department received a call that Celeste M. Scalf, 22, of Fayetteville, was at the Days Inn Motel and had active warrants. Upon arrival, officers located Scalf, who was found to be in possession of several hypodermic needles. She was arrested on an active bench warrant out of the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, and transported to the Highland County Justice Center. Scalf was also charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.
