Special Olympics set for Sept. 19

Highland County Commissioners proclaimed Saturday, Sept. 19 as Special Olympics Day during their meeting on Wednesday. The event will include athletes from the county schools as well as from Highco, Inc. Family and friends are invited to come out and support the athletes. KFC, Bragshaw Enterprises and Holtfield Station will provide food for the event. Around 75 athletes are expected to participate. The event will be held at Lynchburg-Clay High School.
