First State Bank donates to Hillsboro athletic program


First State Bank made a donation of $900 to the Hillsboro athletic program for the fall sports season at the Indians’ football game against Western Brown on Aug. 28. The official check presentation was made between the first and second quarters. The check was presented by Hillsboro Banking Center Manager Amy Hamilton to Jim Smith, Hillsboro superintendent, and Dave Dietrick, athletic director. The First State Bank team also volunteered in the concession booth during the game. “We are a community bank and supporting our local schools is very important to us,” said Amy Hamilton of First State Bank. “We were thrilled to make the contribution and wish all Hillsboro fall sports participants and fans a great season.”
