Mowrystown FFA fair results

Mowrystown FFA members had another successful year at the Highland County Fair.

In the beef barn, member Baylee Carey got first place in her class, Kaleb Kiley had three out of five in the final drive, and Katie Ames received first place in showmanship and in her class. Logan Cummings had second in showmanship, was skillathon winner, and Outstanding Market Exhibitor for his age group; Cora Gillespie got first place on her livestock judging team, second and third place in her classes, and third place in showmanship. Regan Bohrer had Grand Champion Rate of Gain and Caitlin Frazer received third place in her class.

In the hog barn, member Maddison Berkely had first and sixth place in her classes; Logan Kelley received fourth and eighth in his classes and second place in the Barnyard Olympics, and Cylee Bratton was fifth and ninth in her classes. Cayla Bratton was third in showmanship and seventh and ninth in her classes, and Kayla Dillow got sixth in showmanship and second and sixth in her classes.

In the rabbit barn, member Ryan Ross was first in his class, Erin Kennedy had four best of breed and reserve best in class, and Nate Frazer showed his rabbit. Faith Brunck had best of breed, best opposite, and fourth in showmanship, Gabrielle Tebo received first in skillathon and second in showmanship, and Marciel Setty got best of opposite in class, two best of breeds, and reserve in weight class. Brayden Yeager was first in skillathon and breed ID and third in showmanship; and Caitlin Frazer had first in skillathon, showmanship, and outstanding market exhibitor.

In the dairy barn Atlee Carr had Junior Champion Heifer, Maggie Carr was Reserve Champion Showman and first in senior dairy skillathon, and Audrey Ferguson received Supreme Dairy Champion and was first in intermediate dairy skillathon.

In the lamb barn, member Zach DeAtley had second in showmanship and fourth and eighth in the market show, and MaKayla Risner received third in showmanship and fifth in class. Evan Edingfield was Showman of Showmen with chickens, and had first place in the goat skillathon, Jacob Campbell had best treasurer’s book and got an honorable mention in woodworking, and Caitlin Frazer was a fair queen attendant.
