The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Jan. 11

ACCIDENTS

On Thursday, Jan. 7 at 11:26 a.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of East Collins Avenue and North East Street. Lisa Y, Williams, 55, of Hillsboro, was westbound and came to a stop at the intersection of North East Street when Heather L. Thompson, 45, of Milford, was unable to get stopped in time and struck the rear of Williams’ vehicle causing damage. Thompson was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

On Thursday, Jan. 7 at 1:14 p.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Harry Sauner Road and North High Street. Daniel A. Howald, 66, of Washington C.H., was southbound on North High Street going through the intersection of Harry Sauner Road. Imogene Ford, 66, of Hillsboro, struck the passenger side of Howald’s vehicle causing dame to both vehicles.

On Friday, Jan, 8 at 11:57 a.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of a local business in the 1400 block of North High Street. Cindy Wilson, 57, of Hillsboro, and Heather Simmons, 21, were traveling in the parking lot when Wilson turned and struck Simmons’ vehicle in the left read side.

INCIDENTS

On Saturday, Jan. 9 at 11:57 a.m. the police department received a report of a male subject that grabbed a female subject by the arm and was threatening her in a parking lot of a local business on the 1400 block of North High Street. After further investigation, Dakota Evans, 22, of Sabina, was arrested for menacing and transported the Highland County Jail.

On Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at 1:42 a.m. the police department responded to a business in the 400 block of North West Street for a female subject refusing to leave the business. Officers arrived and determined that the owner of the business and the female subject’s boyfriend were assaulted by the female subject. Brittany Long, 26, of New Vienna, was arrested for domestic violence and assault.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Nathaniel J. Hoover, 32, La Follette, Tenn., was arrested for two counts of theft.

Clayton T. Whiteside, 42, of Greenfield, was arrested for failure to appear.

Taylor K. Hatley, 21, of New Vienna, was arrested for theft.

Patrick Norton, 24, of Hamersville, was cited for driving under suspension.

Frank W. Bryant Jr., 28, of Hillsboro. was arrested for two counts of receiving stolen property.

Amber L, Ward, 23, of Hillsboro, was arrested for unlawful purchase of pseudoephedrine.

Craig R. Lawson, 35, of Leesburg, was arrested for possession of drugs.

Johnnie D. Temple, 29, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension.

Don L. Drennen, of Hillsboro, was arrested for failure to appear.

Dustin J Murphy, 32, of Leesburg, was arrested for two counts of criminal trespass, two counts of theft, and possessing drug abuse instruments.
