The Greenfield Rotary Club is hosting a chili dinner fundraiser on Jan. 29 at the McClain High School cafeteria.

On that night the McClain Tigers are set to take on the Miami Trace Panthers, with the freshman boys basketball game starting at 4:30 p.m. and jayvee and reserve games to follow.

On the menu is chili, hot dogs, corn bread, cookies and drinks. People partaking can either choose to eat their meal in the cafeteria or carry out their meal.

Service for the dinner begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m. Presale tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Prices at the door are $6 for adults and $5 for children.

Tickets are available from Greenfield Rotary Club members. Call Angela Shepherd at 937-763-3674 or Chuck Miller at 937-760-2898 for more information.

Proceeds from the dinner support the Greenfield community through the Ralph Philips Recreations and Civic Center, the police department and emergency services, city beautification, various services of the Greenfield Area Christian Center, supporting student clubs and activities, student scholarships, student academic needs, several other community organizations that serve citizens, and more.

The chili dinner fundraiser is sponsored by a number of community businesses.

“The club is grateful to the local businesses that stepped up to sponsor this event and who continue to be generous in their support of the Greenfield Rotary Club, and therefore our community,” said Greenfield Rotary Club President Angela Shepherd.

The Hillsboro Rotary Club is preparing for its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Feb. 5. The event will be held in the Hillsboro High School Cafetorium from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any Hillsboro Rotary Club member or at the dinner.
