The Hillsboro Police Department released the following information on Feb. 2:

ACCIDENTS

On Monday, Feb. 1 at 3:42 p.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash on the 300 block North High Street. Brad R. Roades, 46, of Hillsboro, was traveling on North High Street when traffic in front of him stopped. Roades struck the rear of a vehicle in front of him operated by Kassandra Vance, 25, of Hillsboro, pushing Vance’s vehicle into the rear of a vehicle operated by Lisa Spargur, 43, of Hillsboro. Roades was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

On Sunday, Jan. 31 at 6:27 p.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash on the 300 block East Main Street. Melissa Chapman, 40, of Clarksville, was westbound on East Main Street. Chapman’s vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle operated by Ernest L. Ward, 66, of Springfield, forcing Chapman’s vehicle off of the roadway. Both vehicles received disabling damage.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Scott Herdman, 45, of Washington C.H., was cited for expired tags.

Savannah N. Daniels, 18, of Hillsboro, was cited for left of center.

John A Croy, 46, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
