Fifth Third Bank recently made a second donation to the Highland County Historical Society Building and Endowment Campaign. The bank followed its initial $1,500 donation with a match $1,500 donation. Jim Rooney, society chairman, and John Kellis, finance and campaign chair, recently visited with bank officials at the North High Branch to discuss the project and accept the latest donation. The society said it extends its sincere thanks to everyone who has helped with the campaign so far. The society has raised $150,000 or roughly 50 percent of its goal. Any business or person wanting to contribute can contact Kellis at 51-304-2389 or at [email protected].
