District governor visits Lynchburg Lions Club


The Lynchburg Lions Club held its monthly dinner meeting recently. The guest speaker was District Governor Charles Newland. Newland discussed numerous Lions projects and challenged Lions everywhere to invite new members. The Lions are the largest service organization in the world and the Lynchburg Club has been involved in many community projects. Newland commended the club for its service. His wife, Lion Jay Newland, was also in attendance. She currently serves as the zone three chairperson and like her husband has been active in the Lions organization over the years.
