The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:
May 6
ACCIDENT
On Friday, May 6 the police department was called to investigate an accident in the 100 block of South West Street. Airic Steagall, 25, of Hillsboro, was attempting to pull onto South West Street from private property and failed to see a southbound vehicle driven by Julie Armintrout, 57, of Hillsboro. Steagall struck Armintrout’s vehicle causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.
The police department responded to a call of a crash on North West Street at Collins Avenue. Karlee Ellis, 39 of Waynesville, was stopped in southbound traffic on North West Street waiting for northbound traffic to clear to complete her left turn onto Collins Avenue when her vehicle was struck from behind by Jeffrey Bruggeman, 31 of Hillsboro. Bruggeman failed to see the stopped traffic in time to avoid hitting the Ellis vehicle, causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Jeffrey Bruggeman was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Deanna Boggs, 40, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension, expired registration and fictitious plates.
