The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

July 29

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Jeremy Bass, 33, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Bradley Kinnett, 29, of Bainbridge, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments.

OFFENSES/INCIDENTS

On July 29, police department executed a traffic stop in the 100 block of East South Street and found Donald J. Brake of Dayton operating a 2001 Dodge pickup truck. During the course of the stop it was learned that Brake did not possess a driver’s license nor was there any registration or tags on the truck. Upon further investigation it was learned that the Dodge truck had been taken without permission from Fulton’s Used Cars in Peebles. Brake, 23, was arrested for no operator’s license and for receiving stolen property. A passenger, Rebekah Brown, 28, of Dayton, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments.

July 30

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Donald Kiewert, 61, of Hillsboro, was cited for OVI, OMVI, leaving the scene of an accident, and having an open flask.

Heather Hanks, 24, of Peebles, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

July 31

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Levi Meirrea-Morales, 23, of Hillsboro, was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

Christopher Robinson, 27, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant.

Jonah Hatfield, 34, of Leesburg, was arrested on a probation violation.

ACCIDDENT

The police department investigated a crash in the 600 block of South High Street. Nicholas Thompson, 59, of Hillsboro, was attempting to make a right turn into the Ponderosa parking lot when his vehicle was struck on the right side by a vehicle driven by Mark Whatley, 64, of Irwin. Whatley had attempted to pass Thompson on the right side, which caused the collision and functional damage to both vehicles. Whatley was cited for passing a vehicle on the right side.
