The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Aug. 15

ACCIDENTS

The police department investigated a crash in the 600 block of North High Street. Kaylee Miller, 27, of Hillsboro, was stopped in northbound traffic when her vehicle was struck from the rear. Clinton Lucas, 35, of Winchester, was traveling northbound and was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. Functional damage was reported to both vehicles and Lucas was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

The police department responded to a call of an accident in the 100 block of North East Street. Kevin Watson, 39, of Kettering, was sitting at the red light on North East Street at the intersection of Main Street, when his vehicle was struck from behind. Toby Warrington, 19, of Milford, advised that he looked down for a moment and was unable to stop in time and struck Watson’s vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles and Warrington was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

INCIDENTS

The police department received a call of a shoplifter at the Hillsboro Walrnart store located at 540 Harry Sauner Rd. Catrina Rowley, 27, of Wilmington, was taken into custody and transported to the Highland County Justice Center. She was charged with theft and criminal trespassing.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Genevieve Fite, 41, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving with an expired operator’s license and failure to obey a traffic control device.

Myron Callahan Jr., 66, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Alisa Kirschner, 32, of Hillsboro, was arrested an a failure to appear bench warrant issued out of Hillsboro Municipal Court.

Gina Mick, 26, of Greenfield, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant issued out of Hillsboro Municipal Court.

Aug. 16

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Richard Eldridge, 36, Hillsboro, arrested for disorderly conduct.

Jamie Brock, 33, Hillsboro, arrested for assault.

Aug. 17

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Shane Rose, 25, Hillsboro, picked up on a bench warrant filed through Hillsboro Municipal Court.

ACCIDENT

The police department responded to a two-car crash on North West Street. Terry Massie, 57, of Wilmington, was traveling north on North West Street when he failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Fernando Trevino, 56, of Hillsboro. Moderate damage was received to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Massie was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
