Lady Indians fall to ‘Cane 5-0

The Hillsboro Lady Indians tennis team hosted the Wilmington Lady ‘Cane on Tuesday and fell with a score of 5-0.

In the first singles, Peyton Kidder lost to Wilmington’s Katie Schroeder 6-2 and 6-0. In second singles, Erin Clark (H) fell to Brooklyn Nielsen (W) 6-0, 6-0. In third singles, Breanne Fender (H) lost to Joanna Gonzalez (W) 6-3, 6-4.

In first doubles, Hillsboro’s Jessica Moon and Abby Harmon lost to Wilmington’s Veronica Ilg and Allie Kees 6-2, 6-2. In second doubles, Samantha Stodgel and Aija Taylor (H) fell to Emily Davis and Emma Schroeder (W) 6-0, 6-0.

The Lady Indians will be back home on Thursday, September 14 when they host Clinton-Massie with the match starting at 4:30 p.m.
