The Hillsboro Lady Indians tennis team (3-1) lost their first match of the season on Thursday afternoon to the defending South Central Ohio League champions Wilmington 4-1.

Scores are as follows:

In Singles;

Vanessa McGinnis (H) lost to Allison Brooks (W) 2-6, 2-6

Kaitlin Whiting (H) defeated Mai Cooper (W) 6-4, 6-1

Emily Shanahan (H) lost to Katie Schroeder (W) 6-4, 1-6, 0-6

In doubles;

Madison Hopkins and Samantha Fender (H) lost to Kalista Adkins and Veronica Ilg (W) 1-6, 2-6

and Erin Clark and Payton Kidder (H) lost to Sydney Ilg and Sophie Reed (W) 6-2, 5-7, and 6-3.

Next up for the Lady Indians will be a home match against Clinton-Massie on Tuesday, August 18 set to start at 4:30
