Larrick, Pierson All-State

Two local athletes have made it onto the Ohio All-State team for baseball and softball. Fairfield’s Grace Larrick and Lynchburg-Clay’s Devin Pierson both made the list, with Larrick earning herself a spot on the first team, while Pierson was named honorable mention.

To go along with those two players on the All-State list, the Southeast District released their All-District softball teams and 17 Highland County girls earned a spot with their play this season.

For Hillsboro in Division II, Hana Breeden made first team, Kerstin Thornburgh was second team, and Madison Snyder and Emily Myers were both selected to the honorable mention.

Also in Division II, McClain had Madison Shumacher make first team, and Kelcey Smith made honorable mention.

Lynchburg-Clay had three girls make the list in Division III, as Hayley McConnaughey made first team, and both Hannah Morgan and Lauren Meddock were named honorable mention.

In Division IV, Fairfield’s Grace Larrick was named first team along with her teammate Kaiti White, Kourtnie Smith was named second team, and Emily Williams was honorable mention.

For Whiteoak, also in Division IV, Jaycie Parr made first team and her teammates Ashleight Harless and Hayley Nace were named honorable mention.
