Two compete at National Meet

Two Hillsboro High School track athletes, Mackenzie Conlon and Austin Goolsby, competed in the New Balance National Outdoor Meet held June 17, 18, and 19 at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Both qualified for the elite divisions. Goolsby in the pole vault and Conlon in the 400 meter hurdles.

These two competed against some of the best athletes from all over the country. Conlon finished twenty-third out of thirty-seven athletes and set a new personal record with a time of 56.25. Goolsby competed against 32 athletes in the pole vault and was able to make podium with a sixth place overall finish with a height of 14-08.75.
