Virginia Roberts Fyffe


Virginia Roberts Fyffe, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her home.

She was born Dec. 12, 1947 in Buchanan County, Va., the daughter of Simon and Waty (Horn) Keen.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church and retired in 2009 from Kautex Textron of Wilmington.

She is survived by three daughters, Lennie (Tom) Fillmore of Greenfield, and Penny Campbell and Dena (Kyle Hamblin) Morgan, both of Hillsboro; one son, Chester L. Cook of Greenfield; grandchildren, Tommy, Roger and Shaun Fillmore, Brian Cook, Tiffany Scott, Mark Howland Jr., and Jennifer Schumacher-Phillips; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Betty Beatty of Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and both parents.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with pastor Dan Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
