Leesburg senior achieves Eagle Scout

Leesburg’s Firemen’s Association President John Moore (left), sponsor of Troop 453, congratulates Patrick Frye on achieving Eagle Scout rank.


Patrick A. Frye achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at his Court of Honor ceremony held at the Leesburg community room on Dec. 11.

He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 453 in Leesburg. To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, Patrick demonstrated leadership skills with his service project by repairing and repainting picnic tables at Highland Community Park with the assistance of Troop 453 members. He also was able to obtain table donations for park use during the project.

Patrick is a senior at Fairfield Local High School and is currently studying digital arts and design at Laurel Oaks in Wilmington.

He is the son of James and Rebecca Frye, leaders of Troop 453, and the brother of Jeffrey, Mary, and Eric Frye and Jessica VandeRyt.
