SOESC Governing Board reorganizes

The Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) held its organizational meeting Jan. 24 at the SOESC Wilmington office.

Roger West was elected president of the board, succeeding Richard Peck. Christine Charters was elected vice president and Martha Gausman was appointed to serve as the board’s legislative liaison for 2017.

Regular meetings are usually held at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center at the Clinton County office located at 3321 Airborne Road, Wilmington, unless otherwise listed or announced in conformity to Ohio Law.

Meeting dates and times for future 2017 SOESC board meetings are as follows: Feb. 28, 6:30 p.m.; March 28, 5:30 p.m.; April 25, 7 p.m.; May 23, 7 p.m.; June 27, 7 p.m.; July 25, 7 p.m.; Aug. 22. 7 p.m.; Sept. 26, 7 p.m.; Oct. 24, 7 p.m.; Nov. 28, 6:30 p.m.; and Dec. 19, 6:30 p.m.

The March 28 four-county board meeting will be held at Laurel Oaks Career Development Center, 300 Oak Dr., Wilmington. The board meeting will be followed that evening by a four-county dinner meeting. Administrators and board members from member school districts in the SOESC four-county region are invited to attend the dinner meeting, along with other special guests.

The SOESC serves 12 school districts in Adams, Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties.
