Six indictments released Tuesday

At least six people have been indicted following Tuesday’s meeting of a Highland County grand jury.

Following the first grand jury session of the year, only six indictments were released. Additional indictments were handed down by the grand jurors, according to the prosecutor’s office, but those were sealed and will remain secret until they are served.

Highland County Prosecutor Anneka Collins previously told The Times-Gazette that indictments are sometimes sealed for a variety of reasons that include victim safety, confidential informant safety, or if the person charged is a flight risk.

After the sealed indictments are served, they will become public record.

Among those indicted on Tuesday are:

• Adam Joseph Denner, 33, Hillsboro, charged with fourth-degree felony arson;

• Charles Andrew Hall Jr., 30, Hillsboro, charged with third-degree felony aggravated theft, and misdemeanor counts of theft and theft by deception;

• Melissa Catherine Bennett, no date of birth available, Greenfield, charged with fifth-degree felony heroin possession;

• Matthew Lee Hunt, 27, Leesburg, charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, and receiving stolen property, also a fourth-degree felony;

• Brandy L. Ketring, 43, Hillsboro, charged with illegal cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possessing criminal tools, all fifth-felonies;

• Timothy J. Collins, 54, Cynthiana, charged with third-degree felony having weapons while under disability.
