Highland County Sheriff’s Office reports

Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports for the week of Feb. 6-12, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received 250 911 calls, answered 162 requests for service, dispatched 128 fire and EMS runs, took 47 offense reports and investigated three traffic crashes.

At 1:16 a.m. on Feb. 6 the sheriff’s office received a call from a residence on Lazy Trail where a female under the influence of drugs was causing a disturbance. Deputies arrived and arrested Kristine E. Kinnison, 47, for one count of possession of a drug abuse instrument.

A deputy was dispatched to a New Lexington Avenue residence at 10:51 p.m. on Feb. 7 following a call from the homeowner reporting a prowler. The area was thoroughly checked, but nothing unusual was located.

On Feb. 8 at 12:26 p.m. a Madison Township property owner called the sheriff’s office to report damage to his rental property on Childs Street. A deputy responded to the location where an offense report was taken.

At 6:38 p.m. on Feb. 8 a citizen on Carford Pike called the sheriff’s office to report a domestic disturbance. A deputy and officers from the Greenfield Police Department arrived on scene and located a male who was the apparent victim of an assault. Casey D. Price, of Greenfield, was arrested for one count of domestic violence.

A deputy is currently investigating a theft that occurred at a Muhlbach Road residence on Feb. 11. The victim called the sheriff’s office at 8:15 a.m. after discovering the items were missing. Among the items taken was a handgun and several pieces of jewelry.
