A Hillsboro Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI) dinner meeting will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Common Ground Community Church, 7406 Mad River Road, Hillsboro.

Dinner is at 7 p.m. and the meeting at 7:45 p.m. Dinner reservations are requested in advance by calling 937-764-2044.

The guest speaker will be pastor Dwight Barnett. Praise and worship will be led by Mike Gast.

The meeting is free. The cost for the dinner buffet is $8.50.

Barnett’s testimony takes him from street fighter, to father, to pastor. He has served in public ministry for 33 years. Barnett is a powerhouse preacher with a strong prophetic edge. His walk with Christ has been a journey from tragedy to triumph. He lost his wife, Janice, the heart of his family, to cancer at 39. Several years later his daughter, Latoma, was challenged with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, but she received a miraculous healing. Sixteen years later she remains totally cancer free and is employed as a nurse practitioner.

Barnett encourages, comforts, and walks in compassion because he moves in God’s heart for His people. Touched by this ministry, men and women rise to become pillars in the community. He views his call as, “To do everything I can through Christ in me to cause God’s people to go forward in victory.”

What is the word Barnett is hearing for men in this season? “The word of God is for men to rise up. Will the real men stand up? Real men are different than ordinary men – they are accountable, responsible and dependable. And they are not afraid to rise and trust God’s leading. In these last days God is going to show Himself strong like never in history to make a statement so those who are going to believe will believe.”

Barnett is an associate pastor of visitation and director of Mentoring Godly Men at the Cincinnati Bible Way Church. He resides in Cincinnati and has eight grown children and 13 grandchildren.

FGBMFI is an arm of the church dedicated to bringing transformation to men through the power of the Holy Spirit. Chapter members and speakers come from all vocations and Christian affiliations. Ladies are welcome.
