Ag-N-Stuff cleans park, raises money

The Ag-N-Stuff 4-H Club has been busy the past two months! In May, members of the Ag-N-Stuff 4-H Club assisted with the Mowrystown Park Clean-Up. We hold our meetings there and do our best to keep it looking good!

We have been selling gourmet lollipops like crazy and we were able to raise enough money to pay for the club members to go camping at Long’s Retreat for the weekend of July 8-10! With a group of about 25, members and their families enjoyed great food, swimming, go karts, water slides, camping, and canoeing! It was a great time and paid for entirely from our hard work selling lollipops! We can’t wait to do this again next year!

During the May meeting, Treasurer Riley Collins gave a report of $972.19. By the June Meeting, that balance was up to $1009.19.

During the May meeting, I shared my news stories with the Club members.

During the May meeting, Riley Collins demonstrated to the club the proper way to tag and vaccinate swine. Riley Stratton demonstrated to the club the proper way to feed and water poultry, including additives to poultry feed.

During the June meeting, Kenzi Stephan demonstrated to the club paper balloon origami. Logan Stephan demonstrated a drone and the proper way to use it.

The next meeting of the Ag-N-Stuff 4-H club will be Aug. 7, 2016.
