One transported from accident scene

One person was transported from the scene of this accident around 2 p.m. Friday near the junction of SR 124 and U.S. 50 on the east side of Hillsboro. Ronald Kidder, 75, of Hillsboro, was westbound in a 2002 Hyundai on Chillicothe Pike when an unknown dark colored SUV pulled out in front of Kidder’s vehicle from a stop sign at the junction, causing Kidder to swerve and strike a utility pole cable, according to the Hillsboro Police Department. A passenger in Kidder’s vehicle, Carol Skeens, 75, of Hillsboro, was transported from the scene with what the police department said appeared to be minor injuries. Kidder’s vehicle sustained light damage, but was towed from the scene. The police department said the accident was not Kidder’s fault.
